Key Ingredients: America by Food
is a traveling exhibition
that toured Wisconsin
October 2010 - August 2011
The Wisconsin Humanities Council partnered with the the Smithonian Institution's Museum on Main Street program to host Key Ingredients: America by Food, a traveling exhibition about food culture.
The Key Ingredients tour went to six communities across Wisconsin from October 2010 through August 2011.
The exhibition features photographs, artifacts, and panel displays to reveal the many ways history and culture have shaped our dining habits, recipes, farming practices, and more. Each community host produced additional displays and events that hightlight the local and regional food traditions that define the unique flavors of Wisconsin.
Key Ingredients explores the connections between Americans and the foods they produce, prepare, preserve, and present at the table.
