Please give in 2016

What do a Wisconsin humanities scholar, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, and a brewmaster have in common?

Thanks to generous people like you, these members of our ShopTalk speaker team will soon fan out across Wisconsin to lead dynamic local discussions about one of the most crucial topics of our day:  work.

In 2016, our ShopTalk speakers will engage audiences in conversation about what work is, what it means, and what the future may hold.  These events are free to our community hosts.  They are the latest piece of the WHC’s Working Lives Project that is strengthening democracy from the ground up.

And that’s not all.  Thanks to donor support, in 2015 the WHC offered expert advice and grant funds to community organizations in 45 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties.

In 2016, we want to increase the dollars we award in grants.  The WHC is the only organization in the state that works with local organizations to design and fund their public humanities projects.  At a time when so many are struggling, we need your help.  Won’t you please consider becoming a WHC donor today?

Your generous gift will support all that the WHC does to…

  • empower citizens to develop informed opinions, and
  • create learning opportunities for people of all ages, everywhere.
