Second Saturdays - Journeys Into Local History-Hope is the Things With Feathers: Americans and Three Birds-Joel Greenberg

Greenberg, whose book explores the history and contrasts of the fate of three species at the hands of people, will focus on the passenger pigeon, driven to extinction, Kirtland's warbler, which has been brought back from the brink with funding for habitat, and whooping cranes, who have crept back from the brink several times and whose fate remains an open question.
