“The Humanities in Our Lives”
A special section in Wisconsin People & Ideas from the WHC
In each issue of Wisconsin People & Ideas, writers from Wisconsin reflect on some aspect of the humanities. They may explore an issue of social or cultural importance. They may employ a humanities discipline—history or anthropology, for example—to take a more personal look at their own experiences. Sometimes they just want to tell us how some aspect of the humanities—say, art criticism, philosophy, or linguistics—has enriched their lives.
