Ogichidaag Storytellers Video Series
The Ogichidaag Storytellers project aims to educate the public about treaty rights struggles faced by Ojibwe tribes in northern Wisconsin and Michigan during the 1960s-1980s through a series of four, 4-5 minute videos that document the stories of tribal members that were instrumental in the reaffirmation of treaty rights. A new film in the series relates the case of Gurnoe v. Wisconsin and features Ron DePerry and family and friends of the late Richard Gurnoe, of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and will include a discussion of the topic.
