Connecting People - Past and Present: Curation/Open Lab
This project involves bringing ancient Anishinaabe culture to life in a collaborative learning and teaching environment with a community oriented series of archaeological and cultural programs for Red Cliff community members, K-12 students, tribal staff, and field school students on the Red Cliff Reservation in Wisconsin. Following a successful field season, the Tribal Historic Preservation Office (THPO) of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa is hosting public opportunities to connect community members to their history through a hands-on learning experience of participating in the curation and analysis of the results of an archaeological dig led by professional archaeologists.
